Overview

It’s what’s underneath that counts

A driveway is only as good as its base. We excavate to the right depth, lay and compact a proper sub-base, and plan the drainage so water goes where it should — not towards your house or pooling on the surface.

Then comes the part everyone sees: crisp edging, neat cuts and a finish that suits your property, whether that’s classic block paving, smooth resin, hard-wearing tarmac or a natural gravel drive.

What we build

Surfaces to suit your home

Block paving

Versatile, hard-wearing and easy to repair, in a wide choice of colours and patterns.

Resin-bound driveways

A smooth, seamless, permeable finish that’s low-maintenance and weed-resistant.

Tarmac driveways

Cost-effective and durable, with crisp block or kerb edging.

Gravel driveways

Affordable, naturally free-draining and quick to install.

Drainage & soakaways

Permeable options and drainage designed to keep water off the road and away from your home.

Driveway extensions

Widen an existing drive to fit an extra car or create a turning area.

How it works

Built from the ground up.

What goes underneath matters as much as the surface. Here’s how your driveway comes together.

01

Survey & design

We measure up, check levels and drainage, and help you choose the right surface and layout.

02

Dig out & sub-base

We excavate to the correct depth, lay a compacted sub-base and install drainage where it’s needed.

03

Laying & edging

Edging goes in first, then blocks, resin or tarmac are laid to clean lines and consistent levels.

04

Finish & handover

Joints are filled, the surface is cleaned and your new driveway is ready to park on.

FAQs

Good to know.

Straight answers to the questions we’re asked most. Can’t see yours? Just get in touch.

Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?

If you’re surfacing more than five square metres of front garden, the surface generally needs to be permeable — or drain onto a lawn or border — to avoid needing planning permission. We’ll recommend a design that meets the rules.

It depends on your budget, the look you want and how the drive is used. Block paving is versatile and easy to repair, resin is smooth and low-maintenance, tarmac is cost-effective and durable, and gravel is affordable and naturally permeable. We’ll talk you through the options.

Most driveways take between a few days and two weeks, depending on size, surface and groundwork.

Dropped kerbs need permission from your local highways authority. We can advise on the process and plan your driveway around it.
